Took this Street Glide all around Florida the last couple days. Took a trip to Daytona for bike week. Today we stopped in Lakeland to catch a Tiger game before returning to the gulf side. A bit chilly, but lots of good riding!
ABC Harley Davidson
Last weekend my girlfriend and I decided to stop by ABC Harley Davidson for a little mid-Winter dreaming. Nothing gets me more pumped up about Spring than looking at a bunch of bikes standing still.
Now I must admit that I’m not a big fan of retail salespeople in general. They tend to oversell and just don’t let you casually look over the merchandise. Not the case with Justin “JJ” Johnson who greeted us as we walked in. We mentioned that we were just browsing and dreaming and he was outstanding. It was a true pleasure to talk bikes with him. You could tell how passionate he was about Harley’s and riding in general. That’s who I want to buy a motorcycle from — someone who knows everything about the bikes…someone who is passionate about it…and someone who keeps just the right amount of distance when you’re browsing around.
Next time you’re in the market for a Harley, stop by ABC Harley Davidson in Waterford and look up JJ. You won’t be disappointed.
PS: We didn’t yet buy a bike (or two), but I did have them run me some numbers on a trade-in for my Honda VTX 1300R.
PPS: this little testimonial was NOT bought or paid for by ABC Harley Davidson. I just like to spread the word when I see outstanding service.
This is a video I made last summer as part a series I was doing for my company, SOZO | Pivotal. I find that I come up with some of my best creative ideas while riding. There’s nothing like taking a long ride and not hearing the phone ring or email ping. Uninterrupted time on the bike is the best way to clear the head and just think.
Can’t wait until the roads are clear and the weather is warmer.
Welcome to Detroit Business Bikers
The name pretty much says it all — Detroit area business owners and professionals who just happen to have a shared passion for riding and motorcycles.
Could there be a more perfect time to start a Michigan-based motorcycle group than in the middle of January? Why wait! Let’s get excited about Spring, which we hope is right around the corner.
I invite you to join our LinkedIn group and follow us on twitter. Soon we hope to also set up a Facebook fan page and of course you’re here on our website now so no need to tell you where that’s at.
So, why a group for business owners who ride? Well, I was looking to find like-minded riders who were professional business owners. Riding is a passion of mine and my businesses are a passion as well. Why not merge the two and meet others with shared interests. What I plan for this blog is to share stories of rides, photos of bikes and anything else that is related to biking and business. I’d also like to arrange rides throughout the summer and possible coordinate some charity rides and events. I’d also like to hear your ideas. Feel free to email us at detroitbusinessbikers@hotmail.com.
I’d enjoy hearing from you and thank you for visiting the site!
